Teams from Togo, Benin qualify for 3-on-3 basketball continental tournament

Benin's men's and Togo women's teams have qualified for the inaugural 3-on-3 basketball continental tournament. Hosts Benin faced neighbours Niger in the men's final, beating the side they had already thrashed in the group stages. However, Benin's women's spirited performance was not enough against a physical Togolese team. They lost 14-16 to the champions, but bowed out gracefully. The two teams will now go on to represent Africa at the upcoming 3-on-3 tournament in Togo in November. Togo men's captain spoke about the sport that has been growing in popularity across Africa.
